Positive:
- Supports DVD+R/R9 DL/-R at 16x/8x/16x
- Supports CD-R/RW at 48x/32x
- Supports bitsetting for all types of DVD+R/R9 DL/RW (sets auto. booktype to DVD-ROM)
- Supports disc quality scanning
- Can read 99/100 minutes CD-R’s
- Reads DVD+R/-R at 16x
- Reads DVD+RW/R9 DL/-RW at 12x
- Reads DVD-Video SL/DL at 16x/12x
- Good Software package
- Cheap price
Negative:
- Does not support Mt. Rainier
- Does not support LightScribe
- Reads CD-RW only at 40x
- Green LED for both reading and writing
Conclusion:
To sum it all up, this is what we would say: ‘So far this drive looks impressive, but let us wait for the complete review to draw any final conclusion”.
By using our price grabber feature cdfreaks.pricegrabber we didn’t find any offers, but at getprice the drive is listed at 68.90 €. (22. April 2005).

very nice preview!:g a question: why is there no DVD-R DL read test ?
who cares about dvd-r DL media anyway!!! -rDL is not compatible in anything unlike +rDL with dvd-rom booktype!!
I do wish it had high speed Lightscribe though!!!!:c
