Only 2 OCZ products left on the company's new website - Toshiba all over the place

OCZ's new website shows there are only 2 SSD series left sold under the OCZ brand name. The company is now clearly a sub-brand of its new owner Toshiba. The branding of the Japanese electronics giant is clearly visible all over OCZ's new website.

The two products shown are the Trion 150 and VT 180, now renamed to TR150 and VT180. All other SSDs are listed on the OCZ support page as 'Legacy Products', of which support will go through Toshiba. It's likely the Legacy status means that remaining SSDs in stock will still be sold and supported, but that no new SSDs will be produced.

The OCZ brand name still appears in a new product listed on the new website. It's however no longer the main brand, it appears as a sub-brand in the Toshiba OCZ RD400. This is a new NVMe SSD in a M.2 form-factor that contains 15nm Toshiba NAND. The drive should be able to reach maximum read and write speeds of respectively 2,400 and 1,500 MB/s.

Toshiba also renamed OCZ's ShieldPlus guarantee to Advanced Warranty Program. This type of guarantee means users don't have to send in their defective SSD first to receive a new one. Toshiba seems to have only renamed this, the conditions don't seem to have changed.

OCZ was founded in 2002 and was acquired by Toshiba in 2014 when the company nearly went bankrupt.
