Rumors indicate that Sony is planning to start buying TVs that use liquid crystal display panels from Sharp in the next business year that starts in April 2008. Currently Sony is in an LCD joint venture with Samsung, but some help from Sharp is expected to help it secure enough panels to meet the growing demand for LCD TVs without investing heavily.
With Sony and Samsung fighting for the first place in the global LCD TV market and Sharp trying to expand its pool of customers, we can expect a lot of news in the upcoming weeks. Sharp is ramping up its panel production capacity agressively and must be able to support Sony in its demand.
What can we expect and who is behind this rumor? The source is unknown but he/she appears to be a person close to the decision makers… But, more important, how do you feel about a Sony television from Sharp?

But if so, and it would be my choice to buy a LCD(no LCD LED) than I have no problems to get a SHARP.
