BHA Gives GOLD8 More Powerful Video Functionality

GOLD8 DVD authoring and burning software to be released on August 4th

Osaka – 20 July 2005 – B.H.A Corporation announced today the release of B’s Recorder GOLD8 DVD and B’s Recorder GOLD8 DVD plus, the latest editions of its flagship CD and DVD writing software for Windows, on the 4th August 2005 in English (for USD59.99 / EUR55.99 and USD69.99/EUR65.99, respectively,) via the BHA worldwide Online Shop.

As well as the B’s Recorder GOLD basic writing and backup functions, B’s Recorder GOLD8 DVD includes the improved movie-editing tool, movieFOLiO, the latest version of BHA’s DVD authoring software, B’s DVD Expert, and the stand-alone DVD-VR authoring tool, B’s DVD-VR.
TaskGate, the tool introduced in B’s Recorder GOLD8 BASIC, acts as the convenient launch pad for accessing all these functions intuitively.

B’s Recorder GOLD8 DVD plus includes all the functionality of B’s Recorder GOLD8 DVD, as well as the DVD playback software, PowerDVD 6.

“Burning CDs used to be very one dimensional, but users now have a wide variety of tools to create, author and burn video CDs and DVDs, as well as audio and data discs,” said Masaharu Yoshihara, chief executive officer and president of BHA. “Not only have we put all the necessary tools into one handy software suite, but TaskGate is the
gateway to creating digital content, and organizing, keeping and sharing digital memories.”

The B’s DVD user interface had a total makeover and is now divided into three separate modules that are be launched separately to suit the user’s needs; DVD-Video, DVD+VR and VCD modules. The new B’s DVD Expert Wizard function helps first-time users, or advanced users that you do not want to bother with the finer details around the authoring process. Other new features include the moving menu and snapshot
functions.

B’s DVD-VR enables users to intuitively edit DVD-VR discs recorded on set top recorders, including those with built-in hard drives, or create new DVD-VR discs. This tool also includes the DV camcorder capture and slideshow functions.

The new features incorporated in movieFOLiO, the movie-editing tool, include Smart Rendering, Watermark effect, and a Wizard function. MovieFOLiO also now supports the encoding and decoding of XVD files that were previously only available in XVD plus. XVD is the video compression technology that can pack three hours of VHS video onto a
700 MB CD. Once a project is finished, B’s DVD Expert can be launched to create a DVD-Video disc or save the project on the hard drive.

Yeah what the fuck is XVD ? Could they actually mean KVCD? That is useless anyways if the resulting XVD cannot be played on most players - what a bunch of tossers.
