CD Freaks launches own range of products on consumer market

One of the things that is currently pretty easy with the right contacts is to start your own CD-RW drive distribution. Currently many brands are buying from Taiwanese companies and relable them to their own brand. It is no secret that e.g. Sony used internals of Lite-On drives, and that in the past Iomega used Plextor drives. During Cebit we met with several people to launch a new product line aimed at CD Freaks visitors. With our new layout we will also start the launch of a new product line of high quality, yet affordable optical storage products.

The range of products will be limited for now, but if they are a success we will expand the line with new products rapidly. Products will be available through local stores across Europe. Of course we want our CD Freaks visitors to have the first look, and currently the following products are available. Sales will start tomorrow, when we will also issue a official press release (and pictures):

  • CD Freaks CFR5240 CD-RW: 52x CD-R, 40x CD-RW!, 52x reading. Will be bundled with 5 pieces of 52x CD-R media, and 2 pieces of 40x CD-RW media and software. Estimated market price will be around 49 EURO.
  • CD
    Freaks CDR-80 52x: 52x media, high quality CD-R discs, prices may vary in many countries due to levy and taxes.
  • CD Freaks CDRW-80 40x: 40x CD-RW media, the first to deliver Ultra Speed CD-RW media to the consumer market. Fully tested and fully compatible with the CFR5240. Prices may vary in many countries due to levy and taxes.
