CD Freaks presents the Samsung SE-S184M DVD Burner Review

CD Freaks is proud to present a review of the Samsung SE-S184MB external DVD writer, which Samsung kindly provideded us for review.  This drive is the fastest external DVD drive we tested so far on CD Freaks.  It features 18x DVD±R, 8x/6x DVD+RW/-RW and 8x DVD±R DL writing performance.  Like some of the other recent DVD writers, this drive also features 12x DVD-RAM and LightScribe direct disc labelling technology.

Samsung is the world leader when it comes to digital media and has been producing Optical Disc Drives since 1994.  The company produces a range of half-height and slim-line models and was one of the first to produce Combo DVD-ROM/CD-RW drives.

The drive comes bundled with cables including a USB cable, a vertical mounting stand, a quick setup guide and a software bundle consisting of Nero 6's software suite and a live firmware update utility to automatically search for the latest firmware update online and install it.
