Auzzie Kid used our news submit to tell us: “DVD Identifier v5.0.1 has been released.”  Kris Schoofs has once again updated his freeware utility, that will enable you to consistently and accurately identify the actual manufacturer of your various optical medias, including the new blue laser format discs! 

What’s new in this version: 5.0.1 Oct 14.



  • Fixed the issue where the dvd-ram and dvd-r dl
    write capabilities are switched.

  • Automatically closing the tray prior to disc
    identification now works with all drives.

The updates are the following. dvd identifier V5.0.1 [October-14-2006] Fixed the issue where the dvd-ram and dvd-r dl write capabilities are switched. Automatically closing the tray prior to disc identification now works with all drives. The above stuff has been there for some time now.
