Apple iPhone users can expect a mobile version of video viewing site Hulu sometime in the next few months, multiple media outlets recently reported.
Hulu will be supported both by Wi-Fi and the AT&T 3G network, so iPhone users will be able to watch streaming videos virtually anywhere they go.
The Hulu app will face competition from the Joost app, CBSTV.com app, Paramount Pictures support, and an i.TV app — but Hulu has repeatedly dominated the ratings against individual movie studios and TV broadcasters, so it’s expected for this to continue on the iPhone.
Unlike the iTunes video store — which allows content to be downloaded — Hulu’s content is streaming only, so it won’t work very well while on a train, airplane, or anywhere where service cuts out.

There were unconfirmed talks about an iPhone-friendly Hulu last year, but that was before the introduction of the App Store, along with Hulu representatives denying the existence of a mobile version. Now that iPhone OS 3.0 is in development and will be released soon, analysts believe this is now the perfect time for an iPhone Hulu app to launch.
Hulu, which originally launched for the PC only, has slowly expanded into the living room and mobile sectors. The company hopes to attract new users with its new iPhone app, and will give viewers the ability to watch Hulu content any time, anywhere.
Hulu already is my favorite video viewing site right now, and this should only help get new users to sign up for the service.
