Imation has announced the first 6x Blu-ray BD-R and dual layer BD-R DL discs for the US retail market.

Offering up to 216Mbps data transfer speeds, the TDK-branded discs will let consumers burn 25GB of data in as little as 17 minutes.

The BD-R discs will retail for $13.99 and the BD-R DL for $32.99.
