Philips has just introduced a new LCD TV line that comes with interchangeable frames. The LCD TVs are introduced in Italy and are better known as the Flavors family. The family consists of a 22-, 32- and 42-inch set.

The latter packs a 1080p panel, 30.000:1 contrast ratio, 5-millisecond response time, 500 cd/m2 brightness and a pair of HDMI ports, reports EngadgetHD.com.

To allow the customer to be creative Philips announces that every set will come with two interchangeable frames. According to Philips the frames are held up by a special magnetism.

Besides the standard frames others can be ordered. The LCD TVs are priced at $803, $1168 and $1754.

Since Philips has withdrawn from the US TV market and they have reliability problems, I would think their resources would be better put to use improving the quality of their TV's rather than adding superflous fluff.
