After news from Reuters said that Microsoft was considering supporting the Blu-ray camp, Microsoft now comes with an official reaction. ‘The headline misconstrued the context of what I said’, says marketing manager Albert Penello.
Microsoft announces that they are not planning to create anything with a Blu-ray format, and that they still believe in the succes of HD DVD. They also say that HD DVD isn’t dead as long as Toshiba says its not.
This means that there will not be a Xbox 360 with Blu-ray yet.
