Nero 6 Ultra Edition and Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 compared

If you are looking for a total solution for your burning needs then there are currently two options that will likely be advised everywhere: Nero 6 Ultra Edition and Roxio Easy Media Creator 7. Both packages are developed by long time recording software giants. As where Nero is currently bundled with almost every drive, the Ultra Edition gives some additional value for your money. Roxio has recently introduced its Media Creator software, the follow up of the famous Easy CD/DVD Creator software which has also been bundled by several hardware vendors and just as Nero it is taking the multimedia approach.

No longer do both applications only allow you to burn a CD or DVD, the packages are also able to create movie discs, put picture slide shows on a CD, create labels and many other multi-media features. ABCLocal has put up an article that compares the usability of both packages.

But doubters need look no farther than the latest versions of Roxio's Easy Media Creator or Ahead Software's Nero Ultra Edition to see that there's benefit to spending extra money for a suite that keeps all disc-burning functions under one software roof. To begin with, it's less difficult to master a suite because such programs usually share common icons and interfaces. Plus, a unified suite makes it easier to pull video, audio and pictures together into a single project
