New copyprotection scanner – YaPS

31 Oct 01 20:05 by in category Uncategorized

Shadowman used our newssubmit to tell us that there is a new copy protection scanner: YaPS. If you are tired of the looks of Clony, this might be the tool for you.

You will need a copy protection scanner if you want to backup a copy protected CD and you want to use e.g CloneCD. If you know the protection, you know the settings and making a backup is a piece of cake (if you have the right hardware of course)

Yet another Protection Scanner’ (YaPS) is a free tool that detects if a PC-CDROM or a installed software on your HDD is protected by one of the following copy protections:

  • SecuROM

  • SecuROM *new*

  • SafeDisc

  • SafeDisc 2

  • CD-Cops

  • CodeLok/CopyLok

  • LaserLock

  • DiscGuard

  • Bitpool

  • ProtectCD

  • Oversize

  • Dummy files

    It´s hot & new!!! Version 0.4 from 29.10.01!!!
