On 14 January 2005, we reported about a new firmware that was in development for the Philips DVDRW855K/00. With this new firmware, users would be able to upgrade that drive into a true DVD±RW/+R9 DL drive. Today, we are happy to be the exclusive source of this important upgrade for our Philips community members! It’s available right now and can be downloaded here.
