Pandora heads to Vudu set-top box

Vudu set-top box owners now have "immediate access" to the Pandora online music radio service, Vudu announced today. 

Using Pandora on Vudu allows users to have on-screen access to Pandora on their TV, along with the ability to easily toggle between multiple accounts. This allows each member of a household to have and maintain their own Pandora account.

Pandora remains one of the most popular Internet-based radio services, especially because of its popular iPhone app.  Company founder Tim Westergren has stated numerous times in the past that the company would continue to look for new ways to expand its reach to new audiences.
 

Pandora has also found its way to the Squeezebox Boom and Duet, Chumby, and the Sonos PMP, as a wider number of home entertainment devices are released.  The service will also be available on most standalone Samsung Blu-ray players in 2009.

Vudu has added internet services such as Pandora, Flickr, YouTube, and Picasa to its set-top box, with  more additions possible in the future.  Vudu aims to release its Rich Internet Application platform before the end of 2009, which will open up the flood gates for developers to create even more Vudu compatible applications.
