Plextor has just launched its latest update to its external DVD rewriter family, namely for the PX-830UF. The 20x drive is said to be ideal for users that are looking for the latest optical speeds.

Besides speed, the PX-830UF, packs both USB 2.0 and FireWire connectivity and is the drive compatible for both Windows and Mac. Plextor says that the 20x PX-830UF is a perfect drive to replace its pre-decessor, the 18x DVD rewriter.

The external drive is easy to connect since USB and FireWire cables are connected. Plextor even says that the drive is a "stylish update for your home or office set-up".

“Fast  external  drives,  such  as  the  20x  Plextor  PX-830UF,  are  particularly  useful  for  laptop  users  without  optical  drives,  for  example  the  latest  small  form-factor  ultra-portable  PCs  and  the  MacBook  Air.  Plus  anyone  looking  for  a  reliable  drive  in  their  home  or  office  setup,” De Meirsman, Sales and Marketing Manager at Plextor said in its press release

According to Rudy de Meirsman MacBook Air users would enjoy the new drive. Of course we all know that those with an Apple product want to look good, so lets hope for Plextor that the new drive is stylish enough… Please judge the stylishness from the photo beneath!
