Argh! I hope that means the OptoDisc facilities will be brought up to ProDisc standards, and not the other way around. ProDisc's product has been pretty good these last few years, while OptoDisc seems to be only a bit better quality than the Princo product.

I would have to disagree. While what I have used would probably be top line products of Optodiscs, they have been of GREAT quality, matching, and sometimes even exceeding PIE/PIF rates of TY/MCC.

The Optodisc +R 8x looks good, but the -R not. Maybe it depends on the used writer, but Prodisc has generally good products (If you have the right writer) I don“t count all PI and PIF If I want to do that I can only use TY-media

Optodisc may produce a nice pi/po result at times, but I have serious doubts to their lastability. The 4x ones were horrible.

My results with Optodisc have almost ALWAYS been better then my results with Prodisc. But this is mainly with their 8x DVD-R and 8x DVD+R media.

Completely the opposite for me. Prodisc has performed much better.
