SlySoft has released a beta version of AnyDVD HD, version 6.1.2.0.  This beta version adds support for new versions of Sony’s Arccos protection, fixes a problem with multi-angle titles and Sony Arccos protection and includes various other minor fixes and improvements.

Users who have not used AnyDVD HD can try out the HD DVD decryption features of this beta in its demo mode.  However, existing registered users of AnyDVD who are not beta testers need to remove their license key to covert back to the demo mode in order to try the out the AnyDVD feature.   While existing registered users can install this version, the HD DVD and AACS support requires an upgrade key, which is currently only given out to registered beta testers.

For those not familiar with AnyDVD HD, this will offer the ability to rip HD DVD movie titles to either backup on another HD DVD or to allow high definition playback on non-HDCP compliant digital displays and graphics cards, assuming the user’s PC has enough processing power to properly play HD DVD content.

Further information on becoming a beta tester can be found in this forum thread.  This beta version of AnyDVD can be obtained in this SlySoft Forum thread.

People who would like to purchase the regular version of AnyDVD, are now eligible for a discount. Using the coupon code ‘valentine’ you are able to receive a discount of up to $20. Valid till the 18th of February.
