Liggy and dakhaas used our news submit to tell us that that Starforce the CD protection system developed by Starforce Technologies that stops piracy has put forward an ultimatum. Starforce has had lots of rumours about it on the internet such as it causing DVD/CD burners to malfunction. There have eve been rumours to suggest that the CD/DVD writer will stop functioning even if put in another PC that doesn't have Starforce protection in use.
Starforce Technologies have obviously taken these rumours seriously and have been trying to recreate these problems that have been posted on the internet. They have tried with various systems but have had no luck recreating these problems. They have concluded that these stories are false as they have not been able to recreate the results that have been posted on the internet. They are so confident in this that they are now laying down the gauntlet to the people that posted these stories.
The Starforce team have decided to start a worldwide competition for people who use Starforce protected applications. If you can reproduce the problems mentioned above in the Starforce office in front of the team they will award you $1000.

In the past year our staff and many of our clients tried restlessly to reproduce the matter based on these rumors. Using our hardware collection we assembled systems alike, but such problems never took place.Therefore, we have no proven facts of such issues and we have found out that all of these rumors are false. We have serious reasons to believe that such problems are pure fiction. However, if such problem does exist, it should be repeatable. Therefore, just to make sure, StarForce decided to have a worldwide contest among users of StarForce protected applications. Anyone who can reproduce and demonstrate the mentioned above problem with CD/DVD drive in our office will receive $1000.00 US. |
