Some are still in the ’should I buy, or not’ phase, which means retailers need lots of sports during this summer to generate some extra sales. Getting the consumer HD Ready isn’t as easy as some might think. With soccer in Europe, the Tour de France and the Olympics, many will do fine, but Monster Cable now comes with a product that sounds nice at first. A wireless HD combo system…

Working with technology from Sigma Design, Monster Cable announced their newest product. The system works with both a transmitter, which connects to DVD players and set-top boxes, and a receiver which connects to your TV. By simply installing both the transmitter and the receiver you’ve your own wireless HD combo system. According to Monster you can then start streaming full HD up to 30 feet, and deliver HD content by wireless up to 330 feet.

Monster isn’t the first to come out with wireless solutions, but they believe they can compete with established names like Toshiba, LG, Intel and Sony. Monster’s Digital Express HD will go on sale for $299,95 in October. Monster Cable goes cableless, I mean wireless…

300 bux seems a little steep in price? For that much you're better off buying a 25 dollar 25ft cable from monoprice and trying to hide it under the carpet. When I first saw it, i liked the idea. As my computer is about 15ft away from the TV, and right now i use a 25ft long dvi2hdmi cable and an optical cable. I think for now i'd leave it that way.. I can live iwth the cable tucked under a rug

I have yet to see a Monster product that is not ridiculously over priced.

I am looking for an alternative to my 2.4ghz wireless video sender. Who else if anyone makes an HD wireless solution?
