Silicon Power, today has released a new series of SDHC, SDXC and microSDHC, microSDXC memory cards,the Elite UHS-1 series.

The Elite UHS-1 series contains a complete product roadmap ranging from SDHC, SDXC to microSDHC and microSDXC, ready for all types of devices such as DSLR, Smartphones, tablets and camcorders. SP Elite UHS-1 series is compliant with the SDA Memory Card Standard Version 3.0.1 and the Ultra High Speed Class 1 specification (UHS-1).

There are four choices in Silicon Power Elite UHS-1 series, ranging from SDHC, SDXC to microSDHC, and microSDXC. The Elite UHS-1 series are available in 8GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. SP’s Elite UHS-1 series is a green product and is in compliance with strict European RoHS directives. They also come with a Lifetime warranty.

Remains to be seen if sizes above 64gb will still work in ordinary micro sdhc card slots though backwards compatability.. at some point, they will probably cut off this usage... not sure if it'll be 64, 128, or 256gb...

For info purposes, class 10 is about where class 1 starts for the sdxc cards with at least 2-4x the read/write speeds if you have sdxc slot vs sdhc. Virtually no devices currently HAVE sdxc slots... I'm not sure what device makers are waiting for... a whole bunch of 2013 devices are still slated to include SDHC instead of SDXC...what a waste!!!
