ADATA Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash storage application products, launched today the UV128 retractable USB flash drive. The trendy design features a sliding USB connector and a simplified configuration that eliminates the need for a drive cap. To this sleek and functional housing, ADATA has applied the full force of USB 3.0 technology, once again raising the performance bar for USB flash drives.
The DashDrive UV128 embodies both functionality and aesthetics. The USB connector is concealed in the compact body, and can be easily pushed out with a flick of the thumb. The matte-textured body is scratchproof and dirt-repellent, and comes in two color schemes: black / blue and black / yellow. Additionally, the UV128 is conveniently designed with a strap hole for easy use with a lanyard, to connect to a keychain or a mobile phone.
For performance, the USB 3.0 interface of the UV128 means faster data access, and less time spent waiting. Write speeds reach 25 megabytes per second on the 16 and 32GB models, and 10 megabytes per second on the 8GB version, while maintaining full backwards compatibility with devices using the older USB 2.0 specification.
Purchasers of the UV128 can also take full advantage of ADATA’s free downloadable software, including UFDtoGO, OStoGO and Norton Internet Security (60-day trial), to enhance both mobility and security of their ADATA USB flash drives with just few easy mouse clicks.
Availability
The DashDrive UV128 will be available through selected distributors and resellers in the Europe.
