ADATA launches its enterprise SSD series - The SX1000L

ADATA, a well known manufacturer of flash memory products and DRAM modules, has launched its enterprise grade of SSDs tailored for server applications, the SX1000L 100GB and 200GB. These SSDs use a static wear-levelling technology and claim a MTBF of 1.5 million hours. They use the standard 2.5" SATA3 interface and 2.5" 7mm form factor, allowing them to also be used in desktops and laptops without depending on an SAS controller, let alone a 15mm height bay requirement of most SAS hard disks.

The SX1000L series features the SandForce SF-2281 SSD processor, MLC NAND and are capable of delivering up to 550MB/s read and 340MB/s write for the 200GB model and 540MB/s read and 180MB/s write for the 100GB model. 4K Random write performances are 45,000 IOPS for the 200GB model and 36,000 IOPS for the 100GB model. Both feature a 4K random read performance of 73,000 IOPS. They have a power consumption of 0.6W active and 0.35W idle and are capable of operating across a wide temperature range of 0C to 70C.

Both models come bundled with a 3.5” adapter to fit a 3.5” desktop/server bay and also include the Acronis True Image HD Disk Migration Utility software. The SSDs are compatible with Windows 8/7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux.

So far no pricing information or availability has been announced. Both are backed by a 5 year warranty. Further information can be found in the Press Release.
