ADATA launches SP900 & SP800 SSD series in US & Canada

ADATA Technology, a company that specialises in memory and storage products, has launched a new line-up of higher capacity SSDs, the Premier Pro SP900 and the Premier SP800, featuring newly optimised firmware offering about 7% additional capacity over its previous SandForce based SSDs.

The Premier Pro SP900 features read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s, respectively, with a maximum Random 4KB write speed of 85,000 IOPS. This range comes in a capacity choice of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and all feature an SATA3 (6Gbps) inteface and use asynchronous MLC NAND Flash.

The Premiumer SP800 series is targeted at the entry level market, such as those looking to move their OS from HDD to SSD in their existing PC. This series features read and write speeds of up to 280MB/s and 260MB/s, respectively, with a maximum Random 4KB write speed of 44,000 IOPS. This range comes in a choice of 32GB and 64GB, connect by SATA2 and use synchronous MLC NAND Flash.
