Apple has revealed that it was also affected by the malware attack that recently compromised the computers of Facebook employees.
As with Facebook several computers had been infected after visiting a web site used by software developers.
The hackers used the same Java exploit that compromised Facebook's systems however this particular version of the malware was targeted towards Apple Mac systems.
According to Apple the malware has also been employed in attacks against Mac computers used other by other companies so this may not be the last we here of this story.
Apple plans to release a fix for the problem which will also enable users to determine if they've been infected.
