On March 7, Apple will finally debut the long-awaited third iteration of its successful media tablet line. The iPad 3’s pending release guarantees two things: a new round of speculation over all its bells and whistles, and that the iPad 4 rumor mill should start churning soon.

Computerworld revealed the invitation it received for the media event, to be held at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. The invite itself features a close-up of a hand (seen above) touching an iPad — quite possibly the new model.
“We have something you really have to see. And touch,” teases the accompanying message.
Apple’s confirmation of the event follows insider rumblings from earlier this month that the Cupertino company would both unveil and release the iPad 3 in March. The device is expected to feature a QXGA 2048×1536 display, a quad-core processor and 4G support.
Oddly enough, its name is still a big question mark. The New York Times remains unconvinced the iPad 3 will actually be called the iPad 3, noting Apple’s previous swerve with the iPhone 4S.
We’ll have more on the iPad 3’s (or whatever it ends up being called) official specs, release date and price on March 7.

JUSTINYou know I like the ipad, but im not very excited by it.
Even though the features are good, and it has great sound.
Despite DEBRO'S objection I still would like it to
support flash video.
