Apple issues patch for critical Java flaw

After some delay, Apple has finally released a patch for the critical Java flaw that enabled hackers to infect even their own staff's machines.

Various commentators have criticised Apple for their apparent complacency when it comes to security updates and many are relieved to see this patch now in place.

Apple users are advised to updated their machines immediately either via the Software Update pane under the Mac App Store application or via a direct download link here.
