Apple: the latest victim of LulzSec's Operation AntiSec

Operation AntiSec apparently does not take off holiday weekends.  This weekend the reign of terror started by the collaboration between Anonymous and LulzSec claimed its next victim.  Apple is the most recent company to fall to the AntiSec, although it appears the damage is minimal.

Yesterday Anonymous tweeted a link to a pastbin posting that detailed the user names and passwords for one of Apple's servers.  The list contains 26 unique user accounts that appear to be admin accounts on that server.  So what does this mean for you if you own an Apple device?  It really doesn't mean anything.  It's unknown what this server was for but the data posted was not iTunes specific so it's likely that your device passwords are safe for now.

The tweet itself implied that Anonymous had done this just to prove that Apple could be a target but they were busy with other efforts elsewhere.  Another tweet this morning claimed the group was preparing a "nice gift for the US' birthday today." The tweet went on to say, "But no promises yet as we value quality over a rushed release. Stay tuned." and then closed with the AntiSec hash tag.

With their recent attacks on the Arizona PD , and subsequent huge dumps of data, it's likely that Anonymous is up to something big for their Independence Day release.
