Boeing installs cell-phone, live TV and Wi-Fi support in planes

If you currently finding your rest in airplane where you can't get called, nor get disturbed by phones ringing of other passengers then get ready for a change. Boeing has announced that it will install equipment that will make it possible to receive and make in-flight calls in some of its aircraft. The company has already started to 'upgrade' 747-8 and 777 planes and hopes that by the end of 2013 these planes will have the capability to provide in-flight use for cell phones, wi-fi connectivity for passengers, internet access using in-flight entertainment, and live television broadcasts.

Boeing's latest planes, the 787 Dreamliner offers a post-delivery retrofit of systems that provide in-flight use of personal cell phones and wi-fi connectivity for passengers and is working toward a full set of connectivity offerings as part of its standard catalog by the end of this year. Wireless media streaming is expected to be available on all new Boeing airplanes in 2014.
