Thunderbolt is a new interface for computer drives and is expected to become common this year in new PC’s and Macs. Buffalo Technology is releasing a new external hard drive with both USB 3 and the ultra fast Thunderbolt interface in early summer in the US, and later to other markets. Speeds of USB 3 and Thunderbolt can be as high as 5Gbps and 10Gbps respectively. The new drives will come in two different capacities, 500gb and 1 tb.
