The first reports about the downtime appeared early Thursday morning on Twitter. Users that try to visit office.microsoft.com are served with an error message. Microsoft claims the site isn't down for everyone and the company states it's working on a solution.

Reports on the downtime come from different countries but it's unknown whether all Office 365 users are affected. Some users report they haven't any issues when connecting to the service, others continue to complain about connection issues. The downtime comes just when Microsoft has posted an extensive explanation on the downtime of it's cloud computing platform Azure in November this year.
