Crucial adds 2TB model to aggressively priced MX300 series

Crucial has expanded its aggressively priced MX300 series SSDs with three new models, which according to the vendor, are the last drives that come available in the MX300 series. This series is the first Crucial line that uses Intel/Micron's 3D NAND. The NAND is controlled by a Marvell 88SS1074 controller.

Earlier Crucial already announced the CT525MX300SSD4 with  a capacity of 525GB and the CT1050MX300SSD4, a 1TB drive. Both are in the M.2 2280 form-factor.

The latest addition is a 2TB 2.5" SSD, the CT2050MX300SSD1 of which Crucial specifies a sequential read speed of up to 530MB/s and a sequential write speed of up to 510MB/s. Random read and writes are specified at 92,000 and 83,000 respectively.

Crucial hasn't disclosed any pricing, but Amazon currently lists it at $549.99
