Details of Nintendo's latest console to be released at E3 Conference

Nintendo's marketing campaign for their latest console (the Wii U) is now clearly in full swing. First revealed as a prototype at last year's E3 Conference, this year Nintendo will be showcasing the updated Wii U hardware and revealing the detailed specifications. As part of this launch Nintendo will be screening an exclusive video later tonight on their Facebook page. According to Nintendo Europe the video will explain the concept behind the Wii U with details of games, technical specifications, and capabilities of the new hardware to be released at the full E3 presentation, in Los Angeles, this Tuesday (June 5th).

It is likely that members of the press and gaming enthusiasts alike will be able to try out the new console first hand at the show. Last year's launch received a somewhat lacklustre reception so there is considerable speculation as to whether Nintendo will have taken these criticisms on board. Whether this is the case or not remains to be seen however the details of the hardware for the new console and Nintendo's marketing strategy will be keenly anticipated and are likely to attract considerable attention.

Anyone interested in watching the video can do so at Nintendo's Facebook page which is scheduled to be available from (11pm BST, 6pm EST) tonight.
