Details on overclocked MSI GeForce GTX 660 HAWK appear

The first pictures and specifications of MSI's GTX 660 Hawk graphic have appeared on the Chinese website EXPreview.com. The card has a clockspeed of 1100 Mhz and has additional features to overclock it even more. MSI regularly sells special editions of mid-range graphic cards  which go by the name 'Hawk', this time MSI picked the GTX 600. By default the clockspeed of the GTX 660's GK106 chip is 980 Mhz but MSI increased this to 1100 Mhz. The Boost clock is put at 1176 Mhz instead of the default 1033 Mhz. Memory is unmodified and runs on the reference 6 Ghz.

Although the card is also overclocked by MSI, the company has also added additional features for those seeking to overlock it even more. The cooler has been replaced by MSI's Twin Frozr IV cooler with four heatpipes and two fans. Besides that there are two BIOS ROM chips on the PCB, one with increased clockspeeds and a backup ROM with Nvidia's default settings. The card also has MSI's GPU Reactor which should improve the power volume to the GPU.
