Dotcom releases teaser of Megabox - his new music venture

Kim Dotcom, former owner of MegaUpload, arrested in New Zealand and waiting for his extradition to the United States, is working on his new venture Megabox. He is currently on bail and has access to a limited amount of his funds but he seems to be using them wisely. In a video posted on Youtube he is showing parts of his new site which seems to be a blend of social networking and music downloads.

The video also shows exclusive artists, one of them being popstar Will.I.am. The video also shows how statistics are available, likely options in which the music industry is interested in. The bussinesmodel is unclear but is likely based on generating advertising revenue and splitting this between Megabox and the artists, which means the music is free and unrestricted to users.
