Dutch websites report that A.C. Ryan Europe has been declared bankrupt. The European subsidiary of the company, best known for its PlayOn media players was headquarted in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. An anonymous employee of the company allegedly said that the company was the victim of ‘commercially wrong decisions’.
The office of A.C. Ryan in Rotterdam is available for rent on a Dutch rentals website and nobody is answering the phone. The Dutch chamber of commerce does not list the company as being bankrupt, but the information comes from multiple sources. As soon as we find out more, we will update the story.
