DVD-Ranger releases CinEx Soundtouch - for Cinavia removal without database

The developers of DVD-Ranger have released  DVD-Ranger CinEx HD 6.1.4.0 which also includes a beta version of CinEx Soundtouch, a new method to remove Cinavia from movies for which no database is available (yet). DVD-Ranger CinEx can be used to remove the Cinavia audio watermark from Blu-ray movies and is currently the only solution to make backups of Cinavia protected movies that play on all Blu-ray hardware and software players.

There are other applications that allow playback of backups of Cinavia protected movies, but they "trick" the Cinavia detector and therefore only work with most of the popular software Blu-ray players.

To end up with movies that are Cinavia free, DVD-Ranger CinEx requires the download of a database that contains a so-called first pass, according to the developers a way to decrease the processing time of the Cinavia removal. The new CinEx Soundtouch solution introduced yesterday should also work on movies for which no database is available yet, on their website DVD-Ranger explains the following:

SoundTouch (Beta)
Today we have released DVD-Ranger CinEx HD with CinEx Soundtouch (Beta). CinEx Soundtouch (Beta) is an earlier release of a new method to eliminate Cinavia from movies for which no database is available yet. It is no permanent removal technology as CineX HD. CinEx Soundtouch was developed for so called screener. So people can watch brand new movies without the annoying Cinavia message. You can use it temporary until a new database is available. The quality is far away from CinEx HD but better than old CinEx. It works with 2 and 6 channel audio and on most common audio codecs. How it works: Just Select “CinEx Soundtouch (Beta)” from the “Use CinEx:” comboxbox. Thats it. You will get an information message box that will explain that you will use a Beta version.CinEx Soundtouch (Beta) was tested with many movies but Cinavia can still pop up. On some screener this happen because the audio is really tampered and so some audio frequencies are shifted. CinEx Soundtouch will not hit this frequencies and so Cinavia will be detected. Thus, you must use a screener with a better quality.

Besides the introduction of CinEx Soundtouch, also three issues were fixed in DVD-Ranger CinEx HD 6.1.4.0, read more about that on the DVD-Ranger website.
