DVDFab finds its way back to Twitter, Facebook and Youtube

The Chinese developer of movie backup software DVDFab is back on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. Previously the company lost several of their social media counts due to a court order. Blu-ray copy protection licensee AACS-LA got an injunction at an U.S. court and based on that sent out orders to several social media services to have DVDFab's pages removed.

The injunction allowed the AACS-LA to sent out orders to anyone providing services to DVDFab, demanding them to stop working for the Chinese company. Based on those orders DVDFab lost several of their domains, a payment processor and their social media accounts.

The company quickly switched to a Chinese domain and the Chinese payment processor Alipay. So far, despite the efforts of the AACS-LA, the company has been able to stay in business and now also seems to make their way back to social media.

Currently DVDFab is in a legal battle with the AACS-LA, the Chinese company disputes that American copyright laws apply worldwide. So far the company has taken measures to prevent further damage, it no longer sells products that circumvents AACS-LA licensed technology to customers in the United States. Customers from other countries are able to purchase all DVDFab products.
