Facebook introduces feature that scans recent photos for friends to easily share them

Facebook is currently testing a new feature of its Messenger app which uses facial recognition technology to check whether the user has recently made a photo of friends. The social network giant calls the feature Photo Magic TechCrunch reports. The feature searches through photo's the user has taken and checks whether any of the faces can be matched with the user's Facebook friends.

When Photo Magic detects a match the photo can be send to the friend with one press of a button. In case the feature detects the photo contains a group it can create a group chat. The feature is currently only tested in Australia and will be slowly rolled out to other countries.
