The Intel NUC5i7RYH is a barebone computer that measures 115 x 111. 48.7 mm and is equipped with a 5th generation Intel Core i7-5557U dual-core CPU combined with an Iris graphics 6100 chip that should make it possible to display 4K content .

The NUC is currently listed at an Amazon reseller for $561.00. The seller states the NUC should be in stock on May 10th. The Scandinavian online retailer ProShop that sells to Denmark, Sweden and Norway lists the device at DKK 4099 ($581), SEK 5099 ($577) and NOK 4699 ($579) respectively and provides an estimated arrival date of 22nd of April.

Intel NUCs have become rapidly popular as replacement for large desktop computers, the small form factor, low energy consumption and low noise makes them also popular as Home Theatre PCs (HTPC). Previously Intel only sold Core i3 and Core i5 models.

The price of the barebone includes the CPU, GPU and (wireless) networking support including Bluetooth. To complete the device a M.2 SSD and/or 2.5" SSD/HDD, RAM memory (up to 16GB DDR3-1866 SO-DIMM) and the usual peripherals need to be added.
