Funny: Nvidia Tegra 4 comes with PRISM 2 (and that's not a joke)

Nvidia is showing a reference phone called Phoenix using their Tegra 4 chip which has technology inside called PRISM 2, a currently controversial name.  The name PRISM should ring a bell to anyone who followed technology the last couple of days. It's an heavily discussed subject on the internet since a whistleblower revealed that the American intelligence agency NSA has a program called PRISM.

The NSA uses the program to gather intelligence by collecting intelligence information from internet service companies.  A funny coincidence is that PRISM is used by chip manufacturer Nvidia as well. Version one was used in the Tegra 3 ARM based mobile CPU and the company recently introduced a new version of their called Tegra 4.

This CPU makes use of PRISM 2, the second generation PRISM, which in case of Nvidia is an abbreviation of Pixel Rendering Intensity and Saturation Management. This technology reduces the mobile device's back-light power while simultaneously enhancing the pixel color to deliver the same visual quality while using less power.
