G.Skill announces 2 Sandforce based SSDs

G.Skill are the latest manufacturer to announce a new range of SSDs based on the powerful Sandforce SF1200 SSD controller.

The new range will be called “Phoenix” and will be available in capacities of 50GB (FM-25S2S-50GBP1) and 100GB (FM-25S2S-100GBP1). It is believed the Phoenix range will use the “mass production” Sandforce firmware, which will mean performance levels will be close to that of the OCZ Agility 2.

The G.Skill Phoenix range of SSDs should be available very soon, although no prices have been announced as
yet.
