Many users around the world complain about issues with Google's free email service, Gmail. Google has confirmed it has issues with Google Mail.
Google reports on its status page that Gmail suffers from service disruption and that the issue is under investigation, "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly. Some users accessing Gmail Web service are getting raw HTML displayed."
Strangely enough, at the same moment users also report issues with Facebook. Both issues have started around 1PM UTC and are now (about 1 hour later) still going on.
Update: Google reports the issue has been resolved, "The problem with Gmail should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better."
