Google device codenamed Flounder found - is it the Nexus 8?

The Chromium issue tracker reveals a so far unknown device from Google called 'flounder'. Google uses fish names (manta, tuna, hammerhead) for its Nexus range and therefore we suspect that 'flounder' is the Nexus 8. The device is mysterious as the build fingerprint includes google/volantis.

There is a software company developing mobile software called Volantis, but that company has been acquired by another company early 2011, so we don't suspect they have anything to do with this device. Volantis is also a flying dress recently introduced by Lady Gaga and a city in Games of Thrones, also not likely candidates to have anything to do with the device.

The device is running a AA branch build which is the development branch for the Android SDK tools. The build is very new, if we follow Google's naming convention. The  ‘V’ in the build string means it's from Q2 2014. The 36 means the 36th day of Q2 2014 which makes it the 6h of May 2014 and the last letter ‘B’ is the second build of that day.
