Google will start to block Adobe Flash content in its Chrome browser

Google Chrome will soon start to block Adobe's heavily criticized plugin Flash Player by default. The plugin is used on many sites to display videos or other interactive content. Instead of displaying Flash content, Chrome will try to load the content through HTML5, a similar but safer and faster technology.

Nevertheless, Chrome will still ship with the Flash plugin but on sites that really require Flash, users have to explicitly give permission to run it.

The Chrome Developers will also add a whitelist with the largest sites currently utilizing Flash, according to Mashable that list includes Youtube, Facebook, Yahoo, VK.com, Live.com, Yandex.ru, OK.ru, Twitch.tv, Amazon and Mail.ru.
