Hackers once again publish unaired episodes of HBO series

The hackers that broke into the HBO servers have published several more unaired episodes of series from the paid video service, according to Reuters. The hackers published episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Insecure, Ballers and The Deuce. This time they didn't share any episodes of Game of Thrones.

Earlier this month it became known that HBO was hacked and that the hackers obtained 1.5 Terabyte of data. This included unaired episodes, scripts and emails. The hackers reportedly also had access to personal data of the HBO CEO.

The hackers demand half of their annual salary as 'compensation'. They claim to make between $12 and $15 million a year by extorting companies.

A spokesman of HBO stated he didn't want to comment on each leak coming fromt the hack. "It has been widely reported that there was a cyber incident at HBO," he said. "The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That’s a game we’re not going to participate in."

According to HBO there's no contact with the hackers, however an earlier leaked mail stated that the company offered $250,000 as a bounty for finding the used security vulnerability, hoping that would bring an end to the case.
