The number of Internet Explorer users is declining for months already and research company StatCounter claims that Firefox now holds a larger market share. The numbers of StatCounter show that Microsoft's Internet Explorer had a market share of 17.1% in September which is slightly below the 17.3% market share of Mozilla's Firefox.
Google's Chrome is by far the market leader with a market share of 56.6%. The default browser in Windows 10, Edge doesn't appear in the statistics of StatCounter.
