Kingston introduces 1 TB USB flash drive - guess its price

Kingston has revealed a high capacity USB 3.0 flash drive, the DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0. This drive is currently available as a 512 GB drive but Kingston will release a 1 TB version of the drive later this quarter. According to Kingston the drive is the fastest USB flash drive the company has available with read speeds of 240 MB/s and write speeds of 160 MB/s.

The casing of the stick is made from zinc alloy metal and comes with a custom Kingston key ring and HyperX valet keychain. If you're interested then you shouldn't expect a price per GB comparable to HDDs or SSDs as portability comes at a price. Amazon.com currenty lists the 512 GB drive at $ 1750,- that's nearly $3.5 per GB.

Most common SSDs currently go at about $1 per GB which still can't compete to HDDs that cost about $0,10 per GB. We wonder what the price of the 1 TB drive will be.
