The drives can be put in a RAID 0 or 1 setup and LaCie  promises speeds of up to 785 MB/s.  By default the drives are configured as a RAID 0 array. LaCie specifies that while idle the 5big  drive generates 25-28dBA of noise, while operating that increases to  25-29dBA.

All LaCie professional products are protected by a three year limited warranty, which includes  web based resources,  technical support, and worldwide repair/replacement coverage.
