Details of Build 10558 with tantalising screenshots have been appearing online and so far we've identified the following new features.

• Revisions to the Edge browser, with additional functionality such as tab previews when you hover the mouse over the tab, and some additional adjustments to the download manager.
• Users are no longer restricted to installing to the main "C:" drive which would be a major boon for tablet users who will now be able to install to a memory card.
• A new Windows Phone app, although it's not clear yet as to its full functionality.
• A new Skype messaging app. And there are also rumours that Microsoft is developing this as an all encompassing messaging app which will not only support Skype, and other popular protocols, but may even facilitate SMS messages as well.
• Slightly smaller context menus and cosmetic changes to the Control Panel.

Of course as ever there's no guarantee that all this will make it into the release version but it does give us a useful insight into what Microsoft is currently planning for their latest OS.
